The Kuvasz is a herding dog bred for generations to manage sheep and livestock. Energetic and highly responsive to training; they are gentle with children and generally sociable with other pets; and they do not cope well when left alone for long periods. The Kuvasz needs a solid hour of exercise every day to stay mentally and physically balanced, and a weekly brush keeps their coat looking its best. The Kuvasz thrives with a confident, experienced handler who understands the breed and can provide consistent leadership.
