The Komondor is a herding dog bred for generations to manage sheep and livestock. Energetic and highly responsive to training; they are gentle with children and generally sociable with other pets; and they do not cope well when left alone for long periods. The Komondor needs a solid hour of exercise every day to stay mentally and physically balanced, and their coat demands daily brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. The Komondor thrives with a confident, experienced handler who understands the breed and can provide consistent leadership.
