The Italian Sighthound is an ancient sighthound built to chase down game by sight at speed. High-energy and independently minded; they can be challenging around other dogs or animals and need careful introduction. The Italian Sighthound needs a solid hour of exercise every day to stay mentally and physically balanced, and their coat is low-maintenance and needs only an occasional brush. The Italian Sighthound is best suited to experienced, active owners who can provide firm, patient guidance and consistent mental stimulation.
