Scent Hounds and Related Breeds

The Beagle Harrier is a dedicated scent hound bred for relentless tracking by nose. High-energy and independently minded; they are gentle with children and generally sociable with other pets; though they are a very vocal breed that may not suit noise-sensitive environments. The Beagle Harrier needs a solid hour of exercise every day to stay mentally and physically balanced, and their coat is low-maintenance and needs only an occasional brush. The Beagle Harrier is best suited to experienced, active owners who can provide firm, patient guidance and consistent mental stimulation.
