Australian Cattle Dog

Sheepdogs and Cattledogs (except Swiss Cattledogs)

The Australian Cattle Dog is a sturdy cattledog bred to drive and control livestock. Intensely driven and quick to learn; they are gentle with children and generally sociable with other pets; and they do not cope well when left alone for long periods. The Australian Cattle Dog demands at least 1.5 to 2 hours of vigorous exercise daily, and a weekly brush keeps their coat looking its best. Only very active, experienced owners who can truly match their drive should consider Australian Cattle Dog.
